Energy-Related Products
What is ErP?
ErP stands for Energy-Related Products, which is an energy regulation set by the European Union to improve the energy efficiency and performance of products. It is applied to products that use energy or have an impact on the consumption of energy.
The regulation includes two directives, Ecodesign and Energy Labelling.
Ecodesign fixes the minimum energy performance and environmental benchmarks for energy related products, which must comply and display the CE mark to be sold.
Energy Labelling gives consumers information about the environmental impact of the product. All hot water cylinders with an output less than or equal to 70kW and a capacity of less than or equal to 500 litres must display an Energy Rating label showing its energy consumption rating.
At Zip Water UK we have tested and developed our product range based on Ecodesign and Energy Labelling to make sure they are as sustainable as possible.

How do I identify what ErP rating my product has?
A product with an ErP rating will be issued with an Energy Label, which is a familiar label on most household appliances.
The coloured lines indicate the energy efficient class. Green highlights high efficiency and red indicates the lowest.
A black arrow containing a letter pointing to the coloured level line highlights what rating your product has.
