Why are water regulations and compliance standards important?

Why are water regulations and compliance standards important?

Regulations and compliance might sound intimidating, but they don’t have to be.
It’s important to read and understand different accreditations and compliance standards since failing to comply with them during installation could result in the immediate disconnect of a property’s water supply.

All our products comply with Regulation 4, which sets out the British Standard for quality, and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, as evidenced through independent assessments conducted by WRAS, NSF, and KIWA.

When you choose a Zip system you can rest easy, knowing that all of our products are compliant with building regulations. We also offer the added benefit of certified Zip installation, giving you complete peace of mind for your residential project.

What standards do Zip Water products meet for water quality?

We don’t just love water – we cherish it. It’s the backbone of everything we do as the world’s number one provider of advanced drinking water systems.

As such, we’ve achieved all the relevant accreditations to demonstrate the quality of our products and the water they supply.

WRAS

Water Quality Standards

WRAS

The Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS) is a conformance mark that demonstrates an item complies with the high standards set out by the 1999 UK water regulations.

Unlike our competitors, our products are WRAS-approved, which certifies their safety for use in both commercial and residential settings – a little extra something to give you extra peace of mind.

NSF

Water Quality Standards

NSF

We’re known for our market-leading 0.2 micron MicroPurity filtration technology. But did you know it’s also been tested and approved according to NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53?

These standards evaluate the safety and structural integrity of point-of-use/point-of-entry (POU/POE) drinking water filtration systems, certifying the taste, quality, and safety of our water.

KIWA

Water Quality Standards

KIWA

Our Tudor range meets the requirements for the Kiwa UK Regulation 4 Product Approval Scheme (KUKreg4), which demonstrates compliance with the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. Along with WRAS, and NSF approvals for our other ranges, KIWA’s independent assessment ensures our compliance with Regulation 4.
