The Hippodrome
Home to one of the most popular casinos in the UK, staff at the Hippodrome in London’s West End were looking for ways to reopen their doors safely following the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in March (2020). The Zip HydroChill HC03 touch-free is designed with hygiene in mind.

Simple to install and a cost effective solution, the HydroChill HC03 allows staff at the Hippodrome to access great tasting filtered drinking water, while maximising safety, ensuring social distancing could be achieved at all times.
The brief
“After being closed for a number of months, we were looking for the best way we could reopen the casino to ensure the safety of our staff and customers alike. While we had found a way of reorganising the gaming areas to meet the social distancing requirements and could take preventative measures such as installing screens and hand sanitiser stations throughout the building, we were also looking for a way to improve our outdoor offering for those who would still prefer to remain in an open aired environment,” Mike Haydon, the food and beverage director at the Hippodrome explained.
On top of a £3m refurb where the Hippodrome tripled the amount of outdoor space, the casino also opened a temporary second staff canteen so employees could follow social distancing effectively while at work."
The solution
When choosing products for the new canteen, Mike decided to specify a brand-new floor-standing HydroChill HC03 touch-free dispenser to ensure staff could stay hydrated.

It's very easy to use and is capable of keeping up with the high demand. It also allows us to ditch expensive plastic bottled water which is not good for the environment.”
